  面对困难 Face of Difficulties

What We Should Do in the Face of Difficulties

Directions:For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled What We Should Do in the Face of Difficulties by commenting on American writer Anna Louise Strong's famous remark u Better to light one candle than to curse the darkness. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

What We Should Do in the Face of Difficulties

When we are faced with difficulties, don't complain. Instead,we should try our best to pull ourselves through. As we all know, everyone will meet trouble in the daily life. How to overcome the trouble successfully is a question which is worth considering.

First and foremost, we should be full of confidence in ourselves. Anyone will experience tough times and failures. Some people have no confidence in themselves, they dare not face the trouble. On the contrary, others choose to face them bravely. Of course, the result is completely different : the former will fail and the latter may succeed. So when times are tough, please remember to hold up your courage and smile. Furthermore, we must keep calm, analyzing the cause of failure, which is closely related to the coming success. Last but not the least, persistence also plays an important role because sometimes the tough times are long. We should be patient and never give up, as the success would come sooner or later.

Generally speaking, when we feel helpless, our confidence and our persistence will surely help us go through the most difficult time. Tomorrow will be a fine day if we smile at everything.

  教育公平 Educational Justice

At this precise moment in time and with the impending entrance examination, the problem of educational injustice has loomed more conspicuous and has been brought to the center of public attention. It is almost absolutely correct that schools' misbehavior gave rise to seditions and agony.

Dated back to last month, one official representative at the meeting of People's Representatives put forward the issue of educational partiality, maintaining that the possibility of certain metropolises' students admitted to Tsinghua University and Peking University is approximately 40 times more than that in Henan province. Recently, when it comes to the enrollment of middle school students, another heated news has been propagated that certain schools enjoying better location, faculty and favorable policies are illegally stretching their legs towards elite students over the whole province, exerting definitely pernicious influences on the regulation of tests and examinations.

As a student, I'm sincerely concerned with this. From my own perspective, the leading action we should be encouraged to take is to distribute resources more sensibly. It's imperative to give more rights for admission to prestigious universities to students in need, which may propitiously precipitate the process of social justice. Also, governmental regulation and punishments are in desperate demand. Banning on such misconducts as searching for students over the boundary in certain schools serves as a solution.

What is more, personally, it's advisable for the school administrators to secure a clear mind that faculty and regulations rather than students are more significant linchpins in maintaining competence and attractiveness.

There is still a long way to go for sake of overcoming the perplexity of educational injustice. Notwithstanding, we are bound to accomplish it with fortitude.

With the flourish of education industry, modern students are faced with more alternatives to continue their further education. Both attending a vocational college or a university serves as two main options for the high school graduates. In terms of which to choose and what to be taken into consideration, I shall advise as follows:

Primarily, self-orientation matters the most when it comes to a issue like this. Obviously, the main task of vocational college is cultivating human resource with practical capability. Instead, university serves as the cradle of academic researchers in different areas. Therefore, being aware of your self-expectation with a clear future blueprint lays a foundation for this important decision.

Apart from what has been mentioned above, personal interest also plays a key role in it. For both passion and motivation are derived from interest, which not only decide how far you can reach academically and professionally but also how happy and fulfilled you will be .

To sum up, a clear recognition of self orientation and personal interest will decide whether you will tick the box of vocational college or university. Only in this way can we get the most out of the further education.
